Mixed media with pigeon tail feathers
190 x 80 x 40 cm

A lichen-like growth made of pigeon feathers mushrooms from one corner of the gallery's ceiling: a visual barometer of urban decay, lichen is essentially a parasite that feeds off other plant forms and flourishes in the crevices of disused buildings and on tombstones; similarly, pigeons - little more than pests living off detritus - hint at the city's dereliction, both physical and spiritual.
